Acceptance in less than 8 hours

So, I got accepted to Walden today. It says conditional, and the reason is they need my transcript from my UNT Master's degree. That's already on the way, so come June 7th, I'll be starting my first PhD course.

"Dear Mr. Cox,

Congratulations! On behalf of Walden University, I am pleased to offer you conditional acceptance to the Richard W. Riley College of Education Doctor of Philosophy in Education with a specialization in Educational Technology program. You will begin your program with an online orientation on June 7, 2010. This email will serve as your official letter.

Sincerely,
Dawn Wolff"

I'm nervous, excited, anxious, and rearing to go all at once.

The journey begins...

So, before anyone questions, searches, tries to say I didn't tell a truth in a campaign speech, or any similar foolishness, let me state that I am NOT a Ph.D. yet. I have not completed the coursework, haven't written the paper, and haven't completed the requirements to state I am a Ph.D.

So why the blogname raycoxphd and website raycoxphd.com, I'm saving it. It's a goal. It's a motivating factor so that in time I CAN call myself Dr. Cox (snickers) or have my name read Ray Cox, Ph.D.

The journey begins today. I sent off the transcript requests, applied, chose my on-line university, and should begin June 7, 2010. My goal to completion is by my 40th birthday, February 11, 2015. Yes, it's a long way away, but by 40, I want to be Dr. Cox.
